Dr. Kenneth Bailey’s play is “an attempt to read between the lines of the story of the prodigal son.” It is set in a middle eastern village and is a powerful and poignant illumination on the story. Dr. Bailey will join us on March 21.

All Children in Grades 1 through 5 will breakout of the Lenten Suppers to search for the secret room. Once safely there, they will hear and tell stories, play fun games and then carefully, so as not to disclose their secret hideout, they will return to their parents in the Undercroft.

*This experience is inspired by The Story Keepers - a series of episodes about a Christian family living in Nero’s Rome in A.D. 64.

Evening Agenda

5:30 - 6:30 - Opening Prayer & Dinner*
(After dinner the children in 1st - 5th grades will break out for their program.)
6:30 - 6:45 - Dramatic Reading
6:45 - 7:30 - Lecture

*The light dinner and beverages will be provided. We just ask for a donation to cover the cost of the dinner. Please also bring a side dish or dessert to share.
