Youth Group F.A.Q.
Who is Youth Group for? Youth group is for all youth of Christ Church.
How old do you have to be to be able to attend Youth Group? Usually youth group members have completed their 6th grade year.
Can we bring our friends even if they don�t go to church or if they go to another church? YES! But please understand that there are some events that are for Youth Group members ONLY. But your friends are welcome to become members too - we�ve had a number of families join the church for this very reason!
When and where are the meetings? We meet at Christ Church in the Youth Room every Sunday night from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. It is a good idea to check with the leaders in case of any changes.
Who are the leaders? The leaders are adults from the parish. There are also youth officers.
How old do you have to be in order to become a youth leader? Generally you have to be in Senior High School, been Confirmed and have gone to Leadership training.
What goes on at Youth Group Meetings? We play games, eat food and share the Gospel. We plan fun events and fundraisers to pay for them. We work on projects to help out around the church. Sometimes we have lock-ins and movie nights.
Junior Youth Group FAQ
Who is Junior Youth Group for? All 6th & 7th Graders and their friends.
When & Where are the meetings? The Junior Youth Group meets two Sundays a month from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Look out for meeting places.
Will the Junior and Senior Youth Group ever have combined activities? While we prefer to keep their actual meetings separate, many of the outside activities and in-house events will involve members of both groups.
What is the primary focus of this group? Many of those participating in the Junior Youth Group have grown up together in Sunday School. This is an opportunity to strengthen that bond and to provide a smooth transition as these young people move toward being a part of the Senior Youth Group.
